Day 1: From Marrakech to the Desert
Route: Marrakech → Atlas Mountains → Agdz → Draa Valley → Zagora → Camel Ride & Overnight in Berber Camp
Starting at 8 a.m., our guide will collect you from your accommodation. You’ll travel through the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n'Tichka pass, the highest in North Africa at 2,260 meters (7,415 feet), with stops to appreciate the breathtaking landscapes and Berber villages.
After lunch in Ouarzazate, we’ll continue to the Draa Valley, crossing the Tizi N'Tnifift pass at 1,710 meters (5,610 feet). Following an ancient caravan route lined with palm groves, we’ll reach Zagora. After arriving at the desert camp, enjoy time to explore, watch the sunset, and unwind by the campfire with a traditional Moroccan dinner. As night falls, stargaze and admire the stunning Milky Way.
Day 2: Return to Marrakech
Route: Zagora → Draa Valley → Agdez → Ouarzazate → Ait Benhaddou → Tizi n'Tichka → Marrakech
Departing from the dunes, we’ll retrace our route through the Draa Valley’s oasis, stopping at traditional villages. In Ouarzazate, visit Kasbah Taourirt and the renowned film studios before continuing through the historic Glaoua territory with ancient kasbahs dotting the landscape. Arriving at Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for major Hollywood movies, we’ll explore the famous kasbah and enjoy lunch.
Our route back to Marrakech passes the Telouet Kasbah and several villages, offering views of river-fringed olive groves and fruit orchards. Expect to arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, concluding your unforgettable desert experience.
